This is THE most accessible beach when you are in the centre of Marseille.
It’s not the most beautiful, nor the one with the bluest water, but it’s a 15-minute walk from the Vieux-Port and is ideal for an impromptu swim.
The Plage des Catalans is also known for its beach volleyball courts which attract players and spectators all year round. You can stroll along and watch the frenzied games from the benches above.
